Dr. Jonathan Yainishet
Jonathan Yainishet is a former PhD candidate at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology with an interest in the political anthropology of East Asia in general and transborder dynamics on the Korean peninsula in particular. He studied anthropology and philosophy in Heidelberg, Arizona, Göttingen, and Seoul. His dissertation is titled “South of the Future: Time and Land in the Korean DMZ".
Jonathan is a doctoral fellow of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation).
