Language requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of proficiency in English. Adequate English language skills must be proven by one of the following internationally accredited tests or comparable qualifications:

- Cambridge English Qualification with at least 160
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with at least Band 6
- Internet-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) (before 2026) with at least 80
- Internet-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) (from 2026 onwards) with at least 4
- NULTE Certificate at least B2
- UNIcert at least level II
- PTE Academic at least 59
Or any other standardised or accredited certificate, at least at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe (CEFR);

Successful completion of the test may not be more than three years prior to the application for admission to the iPAB program.

Exempted from the requirement to provide proof of language proficiency are students whose first language is English according the the UK government's list of countries for issuing student visas as well as applicants who have obtained their Bachelor’s degree in one of the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, the British overseas territories, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, USA.

Proof of sufficient knowledge of the English language must be provided with the application documents. If you have none of the required English Proficiency proofs, you can't be admitted to iPAB. A conditional enrolment does not take place.

IMPORTANT: Confirmation letter on English proficiency due to previous studies in English written by universities (“medium of instruction certificates”) will not be sufficient as proof of adequate English language skills.
