Encoder evaluation
Technical features:
In order to control an axis system via the RS485 interface together with the SMSIPC stepper motor controller, we have developed an encoder evaluation unit. Four different encoders can be connected to one encoder evaluation board. Two configuration bits are used to set whether the encoder is binary or grey coded and whether the transmission protocol is SSI or EnDat.Last change: 03/09
Version 22: CRC evaluation for EnDat encoders added, ping now faster.

Necessary hardware change! Problems may occur with the interface when using EnDat encoders. Damage to the encoder electronics cannot be ruled out.
